For the past 27 years, Matt has been serving a wide array of clients, individual and business, in the general practice of law, with an emphasis on Wills, Trusts and Estates. In his practice, he has specialized in the estate administration process and has provided professional fiduciary services for many of his clients. Additionally, his clients were served in the areas of small business formation, real estate acquisition and leasing, debt collection and commercial contract litigation.

He is currently the principal trustee for the Louis K Fox Charitable Trust and the Robert and Margaret Cathers Charitable Trust, both of which are actively engaged in philanthropy in the Philadelphia region and beyond.

Earlier in his career, Matt was the General Counsel and a partner in the Boyle Group, a consortium of real estate professionals who specialized in developing, leasing and owning several hundred thousand square feet of retail space in the outlet industry. In this capacity, he not only great expertise in negotiating and structuring of real estate partnerships, but also in the day-to-day business of commercial real estate.

With this extensive background in real estate, he is a principal and several privately held real estate partnerships which own commercial and residential properties throughout the Philadelphia area.

Since graduating from the Dickinson School of Law in 1987, Matt has served as President of several Philadelphia cultural, charitable and social organizations including the Penn Club of Philadelphia, the English-Speaking Union, the Franklin Inn, the Numismatic and Antiquarian Society of Philadelphia, and the Penllyn Club, to name but a few.

He is also an internationally recognized Freemason and has served as the national head of several Masonic organizations. Additionally, he is actively involved in their philanthropic programs such as the Tri-Square Camp Association, the Royal Order of Scotland and the KYCH Medical Research Foundation which supports cancer research at Norris Cotton Cancer Center in Hanover New Hampshire. Currently, he is also serving as General Counsel for the Wolcott Foundation, a philanthropy which provides full paid graduate fellowships at George Washington University for those interested in careers in government service, from the local to the international level.

Matt is an honors graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, the University of Glasgow (Scotland) and the Dickinson School of Law, where he was awarded the Di Nicola Fellowship for legal studies in Florence, Italy. He is proficient in several languages, including Pennsylvania “Dutch”.

When they get time together, Matt and his wife Susan are avid golfers and fly fishers who enjoy travel, music and attending social events.
